CallMe widget was updated, we added some useful features. Now you can’t make a call without microphone, widget is using some smart system to check if you have microphone and if it works. If there is no signal coming from microphone it will show you the message:

Flaphone service was updated today (14.08.2009), because we updated our server’s software. We’ve fixed some bugs and added some new features our users asked us about: callhistory can be managed , call length timer. Now we are testing new version of our server, which is more powerful and stable, but as it’s new we still expecting some issues during the next week, please be patient if flaphone doesn’t work and send email with details to info@flaphone.com . We apologize, but because of new callhistory storage system you won’t find your old calls in callhistory.

Now selected SIP account, recording device and contact list branches status are stored in Flash cookies (local shared object) and if you are called from URI that isn’t presented in your contact list system will ask you to add this URI after the call. After start AIR application will ask you about update automatically.

Flashphone has been updated as promised. Now users can make video calls.
While working on flashphone2 we’ve decided to make an update to current version of service to support video calls. Video will be available for user to user calls (flash2flash), so as for SIP calls (flash2SIP) - for SIP calls H.263 codec will be available. Now we aren’t going to provide with many settings for video, it will be very close to X-lite implementation, you can see it on screenshots:
